We usually indicate above the mount whether it can be traded or is bound, and whether it requires a specific profession to be able to use. Some mounts require you to be skilled in the related profession in order to use them (especially Tailoring and Leatherworking, plus a couple of Engineering mounts), while others can be used by any character on your account. Some mount items are bound to the original player - so you must develop the related profession in order to learn them - while others can be sold and traded. Some of these mounts are crafted by the player, others (such as the Fishing and Archaeology mounts) are obtained by employing the skills of that profession. The titanforge loot system can allow very lucky consecutive rolls to grant additional ilv (capped at 895 for Emerald Nightmare).Profession mounts may be obtained or created by characters who are very skilled in certain professions. Ilvl for first raid (Emerald Nightmare) are: 835 (LFR), 850 (Normal), 865 (Heroic), 880 (Mythic). So 14 Bloods to upgrade 1 item to 850 ilv. Demonsteel can be upgraded to 850 ilvl via obliterum which raises ilv by +5 but requires 2 Bloods for each. (Duration is longer for Blacksmiths though)ĮDIT: BS crafted gear is split between two types- Leystone (715-785 ilvl) vs Demonsteel (815 ilvl). However these are not BoP so you could just buy them from the AH instead of making them. Leystone Hoofplates (increasing speed while mounted in the Broken Isles by 20%)ĭemonsteel Stirrups (allows you to interact while mounted in the Broken Isles) Crafted armor (can have more than 3 in Legion) can be upgraded to about normal raid ilv but requires blood of sargeras ( BoP crafting reagent).īloods can be readily obtained from gathering professions (including Fishing), world quests and eventually mob kill (with the right shoulder enchant - locked behind an exalted rep grind)īlacksmithing does have a few consumables that make life a bit nicer in Legion: Mythic+ Dungeons scale up gear drops with difficulty to be equal to Raid gear (even Mythic raid gear). Blame min/max players who made the game "unfun" - paraphrasing Blizzard here. DPS bonuses for professions have been removed for a long time now.
